Worcestershire opener Stephen Moore is hoping to catch the eye of the England selectors after consistent first-class performances. Moore, who was born in South Africa, is the leading run-scorer in first-class cricket this year in either division with more than 1000 runs, helping their promotion push in the Championship. Only Vikram Solanki, his team-mate, and Somerset..s Marcus Trescothick have brought up four figures, while Moore has the most with 1218.

Worcestershire announced on Tuesday that Moore has signed a new three-year deal with them until 2011. "I am really pleased to continue my career with Worcestershire,. he said.
