Andy Harris, the Nottinghamshire quick bowler, has joined Gloucestershire on a loan deal. He hasn't been able to force his way into the first team at Trent Bridge and Jon Lewis, the Gloucestershire captain, was looking to bolster his seam attack.

�..At present our results are not going as planned, I feel that our seam bowlers have been under performing and need some more experience to help with the workload of the season," said Lewis. "A fresh face will help to give us some impetuous for the rest of the season.

"Harris is an experienced fast bowler with a good record and knowledge of winning competitions and I hope that he will enjoy his time here at Gloucestershire.�.�

The county are hoping to sign another loan player in the next few days.
