Luke Wright, the England allrounder, has signed a new three-year deal with Sussex which will keep him at the club until 2011.
Wright, who made his ODI debut against India last year and was part of the ICC World Twenty20 squad, scored 347 runs at 49 in the Championship during 2007 and 269 runs at 30 in one-day matches. He is part of England's one-day squad for the tour of New Zealand next month.
“I’m delighted to have extended my contract and I’m very excited about having the opportunity to carry on here at Sussex, " said Wright. "I feel I’ve got a lot to give and I can’t wait to start our defence of the County Championship title. Next season is going to be an important time for the club and it’s a privilege to know I’m going to be part of that.”
