More than just a little bit of copper

And now for something a little bit different. Phil Edmonds, the former England player, is on the brink of the big-time – the business big-time, that is. Edmonds was always something of an entrepreneur, even when a player, but his financial acumen has landed him chairmanship of a mining company, a job he has been doing for a while. Now his company are offering £800million for a lucrative copper-cobalt mine in the Katanga province of the Congo. The Sunday Telegraph business section has more here.
