Get out your marigolds for Worcestershire

Posted on 07/03/2007 in Worcestershire

Worcestershire have taken up their members' offers to help prepare New Road for Sunday. The clean-up will take place this Friday and Saturday. Members and supporters are asked if they can spare anything from an hour to a couple of hours at 10am on either of these days to help with the final clean-up.

Chief Executive, Mark Newton, said: "Much of the very heavy clear up is underway but we need help with wiping down the seats and fencing. Anybody who can help is asked to bring a bucket, hard bristle broom (if possible), cloths and sponges and their marigolds!

"If each person cleaned 50 seats and others a few fences, it wouldn't take long. The club will provide refreshments and we hope we can create a real spirit in the last push to see cricket start at 11am on Sunday."

Volunteers are asked to arrive on the ground at 10am or as soon after as possible.

The club's main switchboard number is 01905 748474.
