The ECB has announced that Hampshireâ..s James Bruce has received three penalty points under the ECBâ..s discipline code following an incident during Hampshireâ..s County Championship match against Durham earlier this month.

Bruce was reported by umpires Barrie Leadbeater and Neil Mallender for a Level Two breach of the code (causing avoidable damage to the pitch that results in a five-run penalty being awarded).

The penalty points remain on Bruceâ..s record for a period of two years. The accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two-year period will result in an automatic suspension.
