Don't drink and drive ... but do pretend to be Aussie

Posted on 06/10/2006 in Essex

Ronnie Irani is no stranger to the microphone and he and James Foster relished the chance to do their bit to help raise awareness of the dangers of drink/driving – especially now that the World Cup and summer bbq season is here and the beer is sure to be flowing. A number of Essex's other squad members were able to hear the ad for the first time at a press launch on Wednesday, as Essex communications manager Greg Lansdowne confirmed. "Not only were they greatly amused by the wit and repartee of our recording stars, but also by the 'fair dinkum' Australian accent affected by Mr Foster." But all in a good cause, eh.
