Wagg determined to take his chance

Posted on 04/18/2006 in Derbyshire

After serving a 15-month ban for failing a drugs test, Graham Wagg insists that he has a lot to offer Derbyshire, and has received the support and praise from his captain Graeme Welch:

“It would be great to get back to where I was before,” Wagg told ecb.co.uk. “It was brilliant when we went to India – it was an awesome experience. It was great to be there and I want to be there again, but my main goal is score a lot of runs, take a lot of wickets in first class cricket, and I'm always going to be knocking on the door.

“It doesn't matter who you are – if you're scoring runs and taking wickets, you have always got that chance, and I want to get back to where I was or even better.”
