Umpires will wear microphones linking them to the Sky Sports commentary team for all televised county matches this summer.

Barney Francis, Sky Sports’ executive producer for cricket said: “Umpire microphones have become a fantastic way for the men in the middle to keep viewers and commentators informed into the reasons behind their decisions. They’ve been a huge success during our Twenty20 matches and I’m sure will be a fantastic addition to our other one-day broadcasts.”
