Hope some youngsters also get this opportunities in view of the fact that domestic cricket is as good as dead in Nairobi and virtually non-existent in Mombasa, where Cricket Kenya Chairman comes from. Clearly Cricket Kenya has failed miserably to promote the game. Once upon a time one would easily see 20-30 players in the evening nets at each of the Clubs. Nowadays Cricket is Sunday to Sunday. In the good old days Selectors would crack their brains for hours and days to pick a squad. They would spread to all venues of domestic cricket and pick talents. There's no such thing today. Selectors are just namesake. There are no challenges, no controversies, no upcoming players and hardly any pool for selection. We are down and soon will be out. There are quite a few youngsters, promising and need to go and play outside for their survival.
