The Scotsman has reported that Scotland’s ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Zimbabwe A is likely to be played in Dubai. If so, that would avoid the politically difficult situation of Scotland playing in Harare and the even more troublesome prospect of hosting the game in Scotland given the government’s hardline towards allowing teams from Zimbabwe into the UK. Peter Chingoka, the Zimbabwe Cricket chairman, and Ozias Bvute, the chief executive, are both barred from entering the European Union because of their links to the Mugabe regime.

Till a few weeks ago, I also agreed with Atif Khan. But, after what Uganda and afghanistan U-19 Teams did in Canada, now I am having a different view point.

I know the Zimbabwe A high school boys are going to give the Scots a hiding, whether the game is played in Moscow or Macau or wherever these Scots want it.

Like the hiding they gave Afghanistan? Not necessarily arguing that Scotland will win but Zimbabwe A have hardly proved be a great team in this competition so far!

there are inconsistancies in the way the cricket community handle member countries. let Zimbabwe play more cricket.other members are guiltyof graver offences

we must support upcoming teams and provide them with exposure to top teams.then only they can improve.remember scotland nearly stunned new zealand in t20 world cup

I'm always surprised by this thing of guys saying they dont want to play in zimbabwe, but they will play in kenya or Dubai.....funny is Dubai e democracy....NO!!Cricket should just be left as a sport no politics.....Zimbabwe would have had a very very good team had it not been for politics!!!their u-19s will sure whack the scots now that the young fellas know how to play 4day games

I agree with you Mark. We all live in an unperfect way. Dubai is not a democracy. But I think whats important is for Zimbabwe to play more games. This is the only way they game regain their place in the cricketing world. Politics is part of the world we live in. Its a shame that Zimbabwe will not take it lay down.

Rob Davison, its sad the world has been made to believe that the guys in zim cricket are appointed by anyone, that is totally false....its all political rhetoric..the guys were there since 1992(when zim got test status), only when zanu got into trouble with the west did the guys become devils, remember the guys even sit on ICC commitees and boards, I dont know how ICC would be told what to do by silly old Bob....Just shedding light as this has been used as an excuse for guys to get political milage.....period

hi as an Australian i agree with Josh afghan, ICC should tell other test teams to play with afghanistan because afghanistan has a very good team they are like test players and compare to other associates afghanistan has much more fan following all over the world they have fans like test teams I wish them that soon they become test team thanks
