It’s been a great start to the tournament here in Singapore and I don’t think many things come close to winning Man of the Match for our first game, so for me personally it’s been a good start, especially since I managed to bag six wickets.
For the team, I think we had a good first game, especially since we won so convincingly and it was a game we knew we had to win – in our minds it was a key game no matter who we were playing.
It’s really competitive cricket here, more than I saw in Jersey when we played in Division 5 last time, and the wickets we’ve got here are more run–friendly so hopefully people we’ll see some good games. Although having said that, I’ll be looking to take lots of wickets and making sure the opposition teams don’t make lots of runs!
Before the tournament started, I was involved in the organising side and now that’s over with, it’s good to be able to focus on playing cricket and being part of the team – it’s a good feeling to just have to perform as a player and not have to wear my Singapore Cricket Association hat.
I think team has got a good lift with today’s win, as prior to the tournament we had a couple of bad games and then last week we had a Twenty20 tournament here in Singapore which went well and helped to boost team morale but with that win today at SCC – we’re all in a good mood and ready to take on our next challenge – Botswana.

Well bowled Dharmi, well played team Singapore. But as Dharmi said, don't get carried away. Focus on the game at hand. All 11 players must be completely focussed.
We were rather unfortunate with the weather in Jersey and I hope we get compensated with good weather.
Do your best and we should get back to our rightful place in Group V.

Dharmi it was great to see you among the wickets and make a winning contribution to the team. Rightly put , the battle is won but the war lies ahead and lets take a game at a time and achieve the objective of maintaininig the momentum. All going well , the group V slot should be ours.

We are really proud of Singapore Cricket which has come a long way in the past few years-thanks to the dedication of the Players, the coaches that have trained the players over the years and the Singapore Cricket Association that has done a lot for the promotion of cricket in Singapore. Alll these have collectively led to the competitive edge that Singapore has gained over these years. We all hope that Singapore Cricket achieves its aim of playing the World Cup in 2015.

having expatriates or foreign students play doesnt spread the game...
wat did the SCA do to spread the game among chinese or malays... forget that, at least beyond the 1st generation Singapore-Indians...???
Not even the local Indians hav basic knowledge of cricket...
They dont even know SCA exists & Singapore has a national team !!!
stop depending on foreigners or plastic-locals...!!!

In Malaysia, the Malay Cricket Association went to length and breadth of the country to introduce cricket. Hence we have a young multi-racial team which we are proud of (plus some expats somehow!).Singapore, please produce your own home-bred talent, not instant noodles.

Well done Dharmi ! Gr8 result Singapore Winning matches convincingly. Congratulation to Singapore team and All the Best to rest of the tournament. I am away from Singapore way back in Mumbai but keeping eye to updates, score analysis on SCA Website and thanks to Cricinfo for detail reports.
Being part of Singapore Cricket League and association with national team always encourage me to wrote my view and happy to see the same results and qualification to Next Div 5 Level.
Don't be Panic, keep cool and always heads should be up not down.
