An interesting story about cricket in an altogether different part of the world
It started as a bet. Jon Newton, president of Shanghai Cricket Club wagered two of his friends that they would not be able to organise a cricket tour to the totalitarian state of North Korea. "One night in the pub, North Korea had come up as a suggestion for a place to tour and I said there was no way they would be able to pull it off," he recalls.
What followed was a tale of months of red tape before the necessary documentation was secured. Read all about it the Daily Telegraph.
