Kenya’s preparations for April’s ICC World Cup Qualifiers, which got off to a dreadful start with a 5-0 whitewashing by Zimbabwe, continues when they head to South Africa for ten days.
The 16-man team will be based in Benoni.
Kenya squad Steve Tikolo (capt), Rajesh Bhudia, Jimmy Kamande, Alex Obanda, Collins Obuya, Nehemiah Odhiambo, Thomas Odoyo, Peter Ongondo, Lameck Onyango, Elijah Otieno, Kennedy Otieno, Maurice Ouma, Rakep Patel, Tony Suji, Hiren Varaiya and Seren Waters.

I congratulate the Kenya national team for participating in the World Cup qualifiers, who makes the best preparation they overcome for wining who think for the game as national defense they probably beat the opposition As an afghan with my team I guess for Kenya to be successful in their tour, Kenya has a good squad and international cricketing skills while they have not to think the oppositions are poor a prove verb (If your enemy is a jackal too, you should get the preparation for a lion)
While Afghanistan will not tolerate the lose again the national coach Kabir Khan and the afghan cricket representative with some skilled players are busy in selection. Some huge changes are pointed out and some new Refugees returned for the trail
Good Luck for all participating teams I believe that all of the teams and players feel worries as each day gose shorter to 1st April-2009

This is a good opportunity for the coaches to patch up the team's loopholes that were exposed in the recent whitewash by Zimbabwe.Any time in the crease is ten times better than time spend on the nets! I hope we will hear of positive results in the practice matches against the local teams. The team must start playing like a team. Over relying on one or two players has been Kenya's undoing for a while now.Forming partnerships that last on the crease is the greatest strengths of great teams.
The coaches must also look around for other options in bowling!Odoyo and Varaiya have been having bad days in the office lately.Having their understudies around will only bring competitiveness in the team.There is great talent around the provinces. After the ICC world cup qualifiers and I pray Kenya qualify,CK must start proper talent search.Most people dont like changes but long term strategies are what Kenya cricket needs now.
A good quality A team and age group teams beside a functional academy.

I watched several of the matches Kenya played against Zimbabwe. Kenya has the skill, but needs to improve mental discipline. Please kenya batsmen-hit the ball on the ground! No need to try for a six when a four with no risk is there. Focus on placement of the ball between the fielders.
