The Indian board has received an offer of help from the unlikeliest of sources – a small city in New Jersey. Edison, whose population is about one third Indians and is home to five clubs, had offered land to the BCCI if it wants to build a cricket stadium.
Jun H Choi, the mayor, made the offer to BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla, who was in New York as part of the official Indian delegation to the United Nations. A more formal proposal is now being drawn up. Choi is reported to believed that such a partnership would bring in considerable revenue and business.

BCCI should accept the offer from Edison. This will be another contribution from BCCI is development of cricket in affiliate nations.
Moreover, the assignment will generate some revenue too for BCCI

I am 13 and i have been following the US team since i was 9 and i have been to Edison a bunch of times i would play cricket more but my city has no pitches.

I have been Umpiring Cricket all my Years in America.Migrating from Trinidad in 1990.I think it's about time a Cricket Stadium is built in the New Jersey/ New York area. Presently we don't have proper playing facilities to encourage Internation Games.

I live about 45 minutes away from Edison here in Queens, NY. I would love for this proposal to go through as a lot of cricket fans here in the New York/New Jersey area have been wanting a cricket stadium. This is a perfect opportunity and will promote and strengthen the game here. Here in America there I play with a lot of talented cricketers, it's just we don't have the facilities. Please let this proposal go through, it would be very beneficial to cricket in this region

it is all good if it is done this needs to be done if the BCCI Wants to see cricket grow internationally the US is an important market to get into so improving their facilities would improve their cricket in general please go through with this idea

this isnt going to happen but i would like it to. anyway u guys are talking about pitches. my school: ALbany HIgh School in ALbnay, New YOrk cant even afford equipment for us. i emailed so many people. i emailed the BAngladesh cricket board and the USCA for bats. nobody replied

I think it is a great offer which BCCI should accept and help for development of cricket in USA. I being a ex Ranji cricketer realise how much a seperate cricket groung helps in tapping talent among aspiring cricketers. I wish USA cricket my good wishes.

T20 world cup in 2011 must be held in USA. It will work wonders in the rise of the game. And there is no doubt that the tournament will be a bigger hit than any other previous tournaments.
