A little more than a week after the postponement of the Champions Trophy, Cricinfo can reveal that the ICC will have to either move or postpone its next high-profile event, the World Cup Qualifiers.
The tournament, which involves the leading Associates, is due to be staged in the UAE next April, with the top four countries winning a place at the 2011 World Cup. The event will also be used to establish which six Associates will be granted one-day status for the next four years.

Would love to see this tournament held in UAE but unfortunately couldn't. So, I say Bangladesh is the best option cause the conditions will be familiar when the teams come back for the 2011 Wc. The teams get the opportunity to know the conditions & prepare for the World Cup & even the teams that play best cricket in these conditions qualify so that we can see some decent show during the 2011 Wc... Where ever it is best wishes to all.. Wish there is a live coverage of 2009 WCQ...

One of the main concerns for cricket is the lack of interest.Hosting an tournament like the World Cup qualifiers in a cricket-loving country like Bangladesh is a major boost for both the ICC and the teams alike.For the ICC,increase in revenue will be a factor they should look towards,as for the teams,they will be exposed to a greater number of live spectators,which is always beneficial for a team's experience,secondly as mentioned in the article,the conditions are going to be exact in the world cup they may be qualifying for.I really find it hard to see why this tournament shouldn't be held in Bangladesh,being a Bangladeshi,I would love to go see the tournament myself.

Bangladesh can be choosen as it will be helpful for 2011 wc as partial host.Anyway ICC only can take proper decission.

Great. I guess its better to hold the game in Bangladesh than any other place. They love this game more than anyone else and will be a great experience for them not to mention the infrastructures they have in place already.

Kenya should not be over looked. Remember the world cricket league. We can also get decent venues in Rift, Centrals and Kisumu, this will help spread the game in these areas. They also have good Hotels and transport. And will bring a boost to the money factor, which can be used for the development of the game.

Amar - Kenya has been ruled out and has ruled itself out because of the climate at the time of year needed to stage the event. So it won't happen there.
