The Africa Division Two tournament which was due to start on Wednesday is likely to be moved to October and now be held in South Africa, an ICC spokesman has advised.
Teams had arrived in Lusaka, Zambia on Tuesday for the six team event when it was cancelled after a week of mourning was called following the death of Zambian President, Levy Mwanavasa, in France that day.
The nations due to compete were Botswana, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Swaziland and Zambia.

It is really strange to note that due to the death of a President, a country goes into mourning for a week making whole of the nation standstill. This is neither good for the development of the game in the country, nor is it good for the development of its economy.

It would have been fine if the mourning was for a day or two but a week is not good. I have lived in Zambia and played for the u-15 and I will be honest that the money provided by ICC for cricket development is not used well.
There is a lot of potential but as I mentioned it is not utilized well. There is too much politics regardless of some grass route development in the country.
The Africa Cup was a very important cup for Zambia to host as they got attention from ICC in return.
