Thailand season draws to a close

Posted on 07/03/2008 in Thailand

Fortune CC will play top of the table team Bangkok 11 in the B Division final on Sunday July 13. After a delayed start, the season is coming to an end.

Southerners 20/20 Challenge finals are on weekend 12th and 13th at Harrow International School. Siam Parrots will play BCC in the Cup Final. Shield and Bowl finalist still to be decided though Punjab and Asia United will play for the Global Turf Plate Final. Southerners have raised about 15,000 baht from this tournament to go towards junior cricket in the rural areas
of Thailand.

It has been a long season but all thanks must go to the few people who dedicate their time keeping the BCL running. Obstacles put in place by wannabe administrators did nothing but create a stronger determination from the teams who seek good cricket, responsible and honest administration at the top level which is still missing.

However congratulations to all teams to a great season and well done to the teams winning their prospective divisions.
Credit must also be given to the Southerners Sports Club for obtaining their own ground and constructing a wicket not just for their own use but for all teams to enjoy cricket on. Let's hope other teams follow this exciting trend.

I could not agree more than this with you Skipper.
"Obstacles put in place by wannabe administrators did nothing but create a stronger determination from the teams who seek good cricket, responsible and honest administration at the top level which is still missing."
Now it has been 2 years since the last rigged elections in CAT.Never heard of the Chairman or any meetings regarding cricket. So guys! when is the elections due? Where is the dummy cricket association. Why No cricket facility in Bangkok.Harrow school is too far to do our nets practice.British club nets already demolished.ACC and ICC is doing nothing for us too.
God help we cricketers.
