kenyas not really getting better, theyre just playing weak depleted teams whose main players arent available for work reasons... the problem with bermuda is inconsistency, they rely too much on individual innings look at their first class match, if david hemp scored 2 ducks instead of 98 and 68* they would have messed up, bermudas game isnt well rounded their fielding poor, and bowling getting better! good luck boys!

I don't think their tour really has gone wrong at all. Bermuda are seriously regrouping after a poor world cup, follwed by a number of retirements. In the tour they've drawn 1-1 with the up-and-coming Uganda, lost 3-0 in ODIs to the strongest Associate (Kenya), but would have taken heart with their decent bowling performances. Fine, they lost comfortably in the IC Cup match, but most people expected them to lose by an innings.

Their tour has gone considerably better than their last one (to Europe in the summer) and although they remain out of their depth at ODI level this tour has shown their first signs of improvement.

Rich B - you must eb a politician. A dire tour is portrayed as being a success. Drew 1-1 with Uganda? Bermuda get millions of dollars of funding while Uganda have nothing and beg for equipment. Its the most pathetic apologist writing I've read in ages.

If Kenya are to make a comeback to their previous level, this certainly is not the sort of competition they want. In each of the matches they played there were more officials on the ground then the fans, an evidence that Kenya cricket fans wants to see some serious and competitive cricket.

In the Four-Day intercontinental Cup the "player of the match" award went to D.L.Hemp for his knocks of 96 and 68. It would need a very simple brain to decide on this award: it should have been Kenya's (winning side) spinner Hiren Varaya who grabbed five wickets in each innings to finish the match with 10/133. Very unfortunately even the local press in Kenya just mentioned in a passing line.

H Marsh you must realize that Bermuda's players are still only amateur. The only money they receive is for reimbursement for their lost wages while on tour. The money granted to Bermuda cricket is for infrastructure improvement not to pay for full time cricketers. In addition the 11 million given to the BCB by the Government of Bermuda is spread out over a period of 4 years. Some money has already been used up in the World Cup effort. Considering the Bermuda Cricket Board also have the Under 19 squad and Women's team to finance, their is no real money to speak off for the National team players. It is my belief that Bermuda should employ two full time squads and send them on tours in order to raise the standard. Also Bermuda cannot play any matches at home due to wranglings over the quality of the national pitch thus adding to the expense of having to travel every time for an international match. Bermuda is very much rebuilding with youth and any results right now will be a bonus especially against a team like Kenya which is ranked the highest among the Associate Nations.

HMarsh - you're making it sound like Uganda is one big refugee camp. There are 30K registered cricketers in Uganda, roughly the whole male population of Bermuda. They've been a top 10-12 Associate for a number of years, played in a U-19 world cup and recently beat Kenya (and also nearly Bangladesh) in a 20-20 match. They're one of the favourites to oust Bermuda and gain qualification for the next World Cup.

Bermuda have been consistently disappointing since they gained ODI status, and I hold to my comment that some of the performances from this last tour present the first glimmer of hope for quite a while for their national team.
