Rashid Khan, the former Pakistan fast bowler, has been appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board to train young cricketers in China. The move is part of a joint effort by the International Cricket Council and the Asian Cricket Council to give a fillip to cricket in China.

ICC has failed to spread cricket in whole world. In the last 35 yeras only one good cricketing nation i.e Sri Lanka has been produced.It is a great requirement for popularity of cricket to introduce cricket in major countries of world like China and USA. China occupies nearly 1/6th of the whole world population.If ICC cn get cricket popularized in China it will be a great service for cricket
The ICC failed to build on the success of Kenya in 96 and 99 World Cup. ICC generates a lot of revenues and isn't short of money, I guess they need to pick up countries and prepare a five-year plan of intrastructure development promoting cricket at school levels. ICC can organize fund-raising series between Test powerhouses and media pullers like England v Australia or a India v Pakistan series and dedicate the funds raised for development. Kenya , Bangladesh, China and USA are my first pick for these activities to kick off
