Kaori Iida, a Japanese player, made her debut for Hong Kong in June 2007. She first learned her cricket at university in Japan before coming to Hong Kong. Her husband, also Japanese, played for the Japan national team, and is a league player in Hong Kong. She is one of the best examples of the cosmopolitan nature of Hong Kong, and development of cricket in the region.
